Dinah Brien, a songwriter signed with EMI Nashville, has written songs for numerous recording artists including Stephanie Mills, Thelma Houston, Rita Coolidge, Fee Waybill and others. She has also written music for feature films and primetime television. She will share her experiences about songwriting in LA & Nashville and talk about her years as a staff writer with EMI, Motown, Warner Chapel & other publishing companies. 2:00 Music Therapy Workshop, hosted by Nancy Houghton, courtesy of Island Music Guild Nancy is a Board Certified Music Therapist who works with individuals and groups and teaches at Seattle Pacific University. She will share ideas about the uses of music and sound as a complementary healing art to address emotional, physical, cognitive and behavioral challenges and to enhance health and well-being. 3:00 Mural Painting, hosted by Natalie Niblack. Niblack, an accomplished painter and sculptor, is also the gallery director and affiliate faculty member at Shoreline college. She also serves as the advisor for the Art Club, which has been painting murals all over the campus and in town. Some of the areas include smoking shelters, the music building, a rehab center, a shelter for women who are victims of domestic violence.

His photographs of discarded waste, followed by his series In Katrina's Wake will awaken many minds. Sometimes subtle and always powerful, Jordan's work is provocative, aesthetically pleasing and simultaneously disturbing. Jordan will not be present for this event, but we will feature his work in a slideshow presentation.
Sunday, August 3 2:00 Aboriginal Art, Dot Painting, hosted by Jeffrey Moose Gallery owner and artist Jeffrey Moose shares his passion and knowledge of Aboriginal art with a power point demonstration and art samples.
